I also have been very busy. I know I get too deep in most of my replies most of the time. I just feel like I have to explain things to the ultimate depth.

I've been cursed or blessed with all my experiences concerning health since a very young person.

I'll get you further simplied links as time permits.

Happy holidays to you and yours in the coming up days.

Thanks for the detailed info Tommy. I've got a lot of info in my head as well - I'm 71 and have had both knees replaced, right hip and Left shoulder. I researched every replacement surgery, knew how to find a surgeon, and knew how to rehab for maximum recovery.

It's hard sometimes to remember where all this cane from. A lot is personal experience, and a lot are things I've read elsewhere, including posts to this forum.

All the best.

@heyjoe415 Hello Joe! Thanks for the reply—hope all is going well for you. I’m a few months away from turning 73, and I understand exactly where you’re coming from. It’s always paramount to investigate as many—if not all—factors when it comes to our health and any surgical procedures.

I also have many things swirling around in my head. I was blessed—or perhaps cursed—with a higher-than-average IQ, and I grew up immersed in two family-owned businesses from a very young age. I was constantly surrounded by adults—mostly business owners and professionals from the local community—many of whom were doctors, lawyers, pilots, pharmacists, surveyors, electricians, telephone repairmen, and other technical or professional people. I absorbed a great deal of information well before first grade. Those conversations shaped the way I think and approach problems.

My father was a self-employed businessman in the electronics and electrical field, primarily TV, radio, and appliance repair and sales. I learned many things hands-on from him. It became clear early on that when a problem occurred, you first had to diagnose it and then have the knowledge to treat—or fix—it.

I started playing the piano at age three, and by age five I was reading, writing, and doing some math. I did my first solo flight in an airplane at age twelve.

Needless to say, I didn’t have much in common with most other students in school.

One of the greatest influences in my early life was a first cousin who was a medical doctor and epidemiologist. That exposure is what initially sparked my interest in studying diseases of the body, and for the past 25 years, that has been my primary focus.

In closing, I attribute my health to diet and supplementation of the 13 vitamins along side essential minerals that were published in 1910.

Glad to hear from you,

Regards

This was an interesting article. I am on Tramadol, and have been for a while. I wanted to try and cut back on the Tramadol. I am thinking about trying the CBD alternative. I was looking at the possible interaction with the two medications. Maybe I should consider cutting back on my Tramadol, either before I try the CBD, or maybe I should discuss this with my physician? Thank you for the information.

i was wondering

A note to all about Tramadol. It potentially will be pulled from the market due to severe side effects being reported.

I take THC/CBD gummies every time I take Dilaudid and I find that the addition of the CBD product boosts the pain relieving effect of the Dilaudid.

@jenatsky ... I sure hope you're wrong about Tramadol being pulled off the market! It worked fantastic for me after total hip replacement surgery.....because I did not want to take Oxycodone. I had zero side effects from Tramadol. It worked great. Why do they take something away when it only gives bad side effects to some people?? I mean, that is true for any medication. Some people will have bad side effects from a medication while others have no side effects.

@cindisue I was relaying info I had read as this controversy plays out. The powers to be need to determine whether the benefit is greater than harm the drug causes. Have you considered Buprenorphine patches instead. I’ve been using it for about 4 years with great results.

@jenatsky I only took Tramadol for about 4 weeks after my hip replacement surgery. I no longer need it, as the surgery was a total success!

@jenatsky I second the Buprenorphine patches. They are very effective and have had no side effects for me
