Does anyone take Tegritol for burning mouth syndrome?

I’ve tried everything…anybody successfully taken Tegritol?

I tried it but it caused a lower body red itchy rash which was horrible and I had to take a couple of back to back steroid dose packs to get rid of it. Dr was treating burning mouth. I tried many procedures and treatments. Fast forward 3.5 years finally diagnosed with reflux and Barrett’s. Reflux treatments and sucralfate liquid finally gave me burning relief.

I forgot to mention that I was told that the reflux could be reduced by scoping down to the juncture of eso and stomach and injecting Botox. For me however, being an older man, I was told the risk of perforating the eso by scoping and injecting was too great to perform.

I forgot to mention that I was told that the reflux could be reduced by scoping down to the juncture of eso and stomach and injecting Botox. For me however, being an older man, I was told the risk of perforating the eso by scoping and injecting was too great to perform.

Acid Reflux can be managed with ppi and sucralfate liquid but I also use baclofen which helps with the spinsters. Bile reflux is not helped by ppi but sucralfate liquid does protect esophagus and stomach against both acid and bile reflux. It’s amazing how reflux treatment has almost completely eliminated my burning mouth. I have my life back!!!

I have been wondering this as well. Have you gotten any other responses or feedback? Trying to find a place that it would be done. So far, I have hit a few places in FL but I am in Wisconsin!

Where in Florida have you seen treatment for BMS with LLL Therapy?

I found a place in Boca Raton called the TMJ Dental Sleep Apnea center. I talked to the doctor on the phone quite a bit and he said they. have treated BMS as well. Takes about 12 treatments - 2x/week. If I was in FL, I would consider. He was very helpful with questions so if you are considering, it may be worth a phone call.

I took it and broke out with itchy red rash. Took me a couple of days to figure out it was reaction to medicine. I had to take 1 steroid dose pack plus a second steroid dose pack to get relief and get rid of the rash.

@badgerfan24 I've had BMS for two years after injections from a dental visit. I was just reading that Alpha Lipoid Acid 600 on an empty stomach with water can help. And they also suggested getting an injection from the doctor. I was wondering if you have tried this? Also, they are saying they can do a low level laser for this now. That's what I want. But, I surely can't hop to Italy!!!
