@sheridonaldson yes m sister just received that diagnosis, she is in a lot of pain but is starting chemo Wednesday. They have no idea where is is located but they said it is stage 4 and has math a year to live. I am devastated..so we will start chemo Wednesday oh and her legs are so swollen she can hardly walk, we are 71 but have been in great health until this…we are twins so now I am worried. Anyone else had their legs blown up like up like this
@jmw184 I am sorry to hear about your twin sister! I have not been in a lot of pain due to the cancer, but I look pregnant from the room the tumors take up in my abdomen. I was given 2.5 years to live but have blown past that so take heart. Have never had swollen legs; could they be from something else?

@jmw184 ~ I'm sorry that your sister has been diagnosed with this awful disease. I had gone to the ER with swollen legs that were so heavy, I could hardly lift them. My legs & lungs were full of blood clots. While in the hospital, (26 days!) trying to figure out why a healty 58 yo woman would have these clots, they found stage 4 cancer of unknown primary. They have done every scan, biopsy, CT, PET, etc. possible, and still no official diagnosis. Yes the prognosis sucks but please try to remember that she's been diagnosed early and lots of things can happen between now & then. Hugs.
My Mom has Carcinoma of unknow primary. Her Ct scan & MRI shown no tumor or lesions, but the test came out from her fluid in her lung said she has some cancer cells. She had not symptom. The oncologist gives her chemo every week with Taxol & Carbo for 3 months and I don't know what is going on after that. She's 74 years old and I don't want she has chemo for long time. These Chemo drugs are strong for her. Is anyone out there had cancer like her and what do we can do. Thanks.
@khanhngd ~ Hi. I also have the same diagnosis and have had chemo with the same drugs. I'm having a second opinion at UCSF on the 16th and hope they can give me some answers. I've finished my 1st round of chemo and have a PET scan to see if there are any tumors shown. I'm not sure what happens next, but I'm taking some time off of treatment while I feel well. I hope you're able to spend time with your mom. Sending hugs.
