@jmw184 I am sorry to hear about your twin sister! I have not been in a lot of pain due to the cancer, but I look pregnant from the room the tumors take up in my abdomen. I was given 2.5 years to live but have blown past that so take heart. Have never had swollen legs; could they be from something else?
@jmw184 ~ I'm sorry that your sister has been diagnosed with this awful disease. I had gone to the ER with swollen legs that were so heavy, I could hardly lift them. My legs & lungs were full of blood clots. While in the hospital, (26 days!) trying to figure out why a healty 58 yo woman would have these clots, they found stage 4 cancer of unknown primary. They have done every scan, biopsy, CT, PET, etc. possible, and still no official diagnosis. Yes the prognosis sucks but please try to remember that she's been diagnosed early and lots of things can happen between now & then. Hugs.
@khanhngd ~ Hi. I also have the same diagnosis and have had chemo with the same drugs. I'm having a second opinion at UCSF on the 16th and hope they can give me some answers. I've finished my 1st round of chemo and have a PET scan to see if there are any tumors shown. I'm not sure what happens next, but I'm taking some time off of treatment while I feel well. I hope you're able to spend time with your mom. Sending hugs.

Hi. My sister-in-law had something similar. Because she was in her early 40's, it took the dr.s a couple of years to diagnose her w/multiple-myeloma. They realized this when they noticed hairline fractures on her ribs and collarbone. Prior to back and side pains, she was so fatigued.
