HoLEP failure or do I need patience?
Had HoLEP surgery last week, which has so far failed......can't urinate at
all.
Has nyone else had a similar experience and what did you do about it?

You have a lot of swelling. I had to bare down hard for the 1st 2 to 3 weeks. I had 2 rounds of catheters. The doc wasn't keen on a 3rd, so I delt with it. Lots of blood clots kept me from urinating. I had blood in my urine for, I believe a couple of months. My surgery was Feb. 2024. It was rough at 1st, but worth it. If you have concerns, see the doc, they may scope you to make sure no tissue or clot is causing the issue.
Here's a link to my experience when I had my Surgery. Others experiences as well, lots of details

Same issue when I had it done 15 months ago! The first few weeks were scary, leaky, frustrating, etc! My doctor said to go ahead and PUSH as it won't hurt anything! He was correct. There's a lot of tissue left over and it takes time to come out. Be patient, if you're married keep letting her know what's going on and let her help you through the rough patches!! Having sex is going to be a struggle for several months and I don't care what others say... it feels as though you've shrunk and the feeling just isn't there! (if you want to know more let me know). The positive thing is that you WILL one day soon, start peeing like a horse! I still love watching - I know this sounds sick, but... - my huge flow coming out after years of barely a trickle!
Bottom line...give it time, know that you will be frustrated and start second guessing your decision, don't be embarrassed wearing a diaper or pad, and remember the healing process will take a very long time - but you will be glad you did the surgery in the end!
