Anyone use Budesonide inhalation with good results?

Diagnosed with asthma in 2019. Have been using inhalation saline 3% and cromolyn sodium with some success to relieve mucus buildup, coughing, and wheezing. Now the good effects appear to have worn off. I am severely sensitive to steroids and resort to Flovent only when wheezing gets so noisy, it keeps me awake. Lately, I wake up around 5 am congested, with breathing difficulty. I get up and sit upright. Seems like my meds inhaled before bedtime have worn off.
I wondered if Budesonide might help. I have some on hand to use.
Anybody here use it with good results?

@ricktweld Did you sign up for their discount program? We pay nothing for Dupixent. My daughter has done well on it for several months & I am dying to know if it helps prevent bacterial infections (the reason the Dr had her switch). She is a college athlete & picked up every virus last year making her really sick for several months. Dr. swears it will help. I tried one shot and got super inflamed with bad headaches also so I didn’t continue. But I have a neck injury & think I am atypical.

That's correct. Most discounts from Pharma manufacturer aren't available to persons with insurance.

@sueinmn I have asthma with no wheezing but a bad cough. I have COPD, sob, emphysema and bronchiectasis and possible Mac. I have been on trelegy for years. I'm usually on prednisone 2 to 3 times a year, which is really starting to have some pretty bad side effects, high sugar, high blood pressure, terrible headaches. I just got switched to Breztri which does nothing for me. Went back on Trelegy
I neb levabuterol, sometimes budesonide and 3% saline. I have a constant nonproductive cough.
I am at my wits end.
Not long ago, I had a very severe reaction to someone cooking a lot of garlic. ( I cannot eat it.)
I am sensitive to all scents, smoke, exhaust, etc.

@km6 Wow, I would be feeling overwhelmed as well. Are you being seen at a lung specialty center? They are accustomed to treating complex cases in a way that a general pulmonologist is not. Here are lists of the centers identified so far:

Speak to your dr about biologics options. There are many. And the companies have coupon programs. I've had great success with Xolair for my allergy induced asthma but there are many out there.

I have asthma, emphysema, & bronchiectasis. Have been inhaling Budesonide for years with success and it doesn’t wear off becoming ineffective. I think doing biologic shots would do wonders for you though. My daughter and I both have had great success with them. Dupixent is our pulmonologist’s (Mayo Clinic) top choice but we also handled Xolair and Fasenra well. It’s a matter of trying them and finding what works for you without having a reaction.

@jwool89 I have EGPA/Vasculitis and currently using Tezspire and prednisone and in "remission." However, I still have unexplained hypoxemia using 8L of oxygen 24/7. Can I ask you who you see at Mayo? Thank you.
