I use 50 mg of topiramte for migraines

I was thrown into a city bus window. Face . Head first. The driver tore off before bi was seated. Now I have migraines. That start about 4 am. Like a hot sharp knife going through the back side of my head. I also suffered a horrible horrible concussion.no open trauma. Just bruises. The topiramte was a god send. My neurologist tried several different things

I have migraines. Topiramate has been a God send for me too. But, I have to watch it. I have kidney stones. I take 50 mg twice a day. Plus, I take propranolol 60mg 3 times a day for migraines and essential tremors. The first two doses I had to cut back. It was kicking me down. Slowing down my heart rate too much. So the doctor told me to adjust to how I felt. I have tried Quilipta but topiramate won. I use ubrelvy 100 mg when I get one. I can't afford the ubrelvy and insurance won't pay much. The Abbvie Patient Assistance Program pays for it. (not sure if I spelled Abbvie correctly). I have had migraines since I was 16. (50 years) Finally found great neurologist. I know your pain.

@hummingbird673 I hear you on affordable, my copayment is $400 for 9 doses of Nurtec or Ubrelvy and $1,100 for Ajovy….needless to say I take none of them!!!!
I do get Botox injections every 3 months but that only reduces my migraine. I live with 7-10 pain level 24/7

@mojo244
The company that makes Ubrelvy has a patient assistance program. The company AbbVie pays for my Ubrelvy 100%.
They pay for other medications. I took Qulipta and they took care of that. They have an online application plus what meds they will pay for, you can check out. Ubrelvy has been a God send for my migraines. I have no side effects from it. You might want to check it out. I have lived with that pain, too.
