I did a years worth of physical and occupational therapy. Also had a brace on my right leg and foot to keep my foot from dropping. I wore that for 2 years. You have to put in all the work to get better. They told me I was lucky to be alive and taught me to live using only my left side of my body. I also received a lot of pt and ot. I was hospitalized for 3 months while getting all of this care, then sent home with my non custodial mother, made it through it all. You need great doctors, a great support system-take any help offered.
