Nervive…anyone using?
I’m wondering if anyone is using Nervive? It’s B vitamins and ALA. I’m just cautious and don’t want it to interact with anti anxiety meds I’m on.

@trishdub Most of the time I am fine with no cramps....BUT....not always. I am careful how I move my feet so as not to spasm. It is a challenge managing this disease.
@skyhollow
Thank you. Have you ever tried this gel? Does it help prevent leg cramps?
@moorethrpy
Isn't that the truth! Having to be so careful how I move my feet. One wrong move...! I don't even know if the cramps are related to the neuropathy. I've not been to a neurologist, only Dr. Google and my PCP, who is very good. Between the leg cramps and the burning of my feet, it's difficult to really sleep at night. I'm always so thankful for a good night's sleep!
totally understand...night time is the worst!! Please try to find a university or medical center based neurologist. the average neurologist is not going to be sympathetic to your neuropathy symptoms and won't have very many options for treatment. I am on low dosage naltrexone which could help your burning (not cramps, though). this drug is not covered by insurance but is only about $35 /mo. It is a compounded prescribed drug and will be familiar to a good neurologist. Keep advocating nad researching. You should check out the Western Neuropathy Association. A lot of support, research and sharing on that site.

2 Reactions@trishdub I have used magnesium oil which is very helpful but a bit messy. My chiropractor recommends the magnesium gel but I have not tried it yet. Magnesium is a natural muscle relaxant. Also, maybe a homeopathic remedy for restless legs would help. That helps me.
Amazon has one by Hyland's. Hope his helps.

I have the spray, which “works” sometimes, as does the Hylands. I can’t say that either really works. I can only say they are not reliable for me.
Thanks for your input!
@dantean: I have been taking Stonehenge Dynamic Nerve, although not at the high dosage they suggest, for about a year now. My neuropathy is about the same, or a bit worse now. Although, I have no way of knowing if my symptoms would be even worse had I not been taking it. Unfortunately, the individual user has no control to truly measure the efficacy of a drug or supplement.
@cwloeffler Then I'd stop taking it.
I have was diagnosed with IPN 2 years ago and have added certain OTC items based upon research with 3 top medical facilities and medical research arms of those facilities. I won't get into the specifics because, what I have found, everyone is different.
My biggest problem is the bottom of my feet when I sleep. Terrible burning and itching. I started using Nervine Pain Relieving Cream purchased inexpensively from Amazon (and a little bit goes a long way). FOR ME, it has blocked the burning and itching every time I have use it. I don't need it every night because my feet don't burn every night, but when I use it, it has helped me since I started using it 6 months ago!
