Mirvetuximab for ovarian cancer: Anyone used this drug yet?
has anyone done treatment for ovarian cancer with the IV infusion drug Mirvituxim. I'm starting next Wed. I've done 6 chemo treatment with platinum based carbonplaxin and had full hysterectomy surgery, but there was still many cancer cells left in my abdominal wall. The cancer became resistive to carboplaxin so they are going to try this new drug.

I started Elahere in Oct and just finished my 3rd treatment with it. So far so good. Doing eye drops as instructed. Waiting for upcoming scan to see if it makes difference. Seems to have made neuropathy worse so I started doing cold therapy for hands & feet during infusion.
@sullycat you may want to try this. My neuropathy from chemo is 85% gone. I've been using the cream for about 5 days. I also got Alpha lipoic acid, the plain 50/50 and took for about 3 weeks. I then read and did research that the Alpha lipoic acid-R was the best because it is made naturally by the body. The other is synthetic. I've been taking the R for just 2 days. I am so happy with the results. The cream I found while searching for capsaicin which said it was good for neuropathy. Here is the info. I just ordered my 2nd tube. It's a large tube and a little goes a long way.
I took info to my chemo appt on Monday and had people ordering it in the waiting room. Lol

2 Reactions@leighklock, I hope you saw @sullycat's reply to you.
How are you doing on Elahere (mirvetuximab soravtansine)?
@colleenyoung Hi
Thanks for checking in. I had my first infusion of Elahere 11/24/25. Unfortunately I have had 2 wks of severe GI side effects including nausea, diarrhea and abdominal spasms. I saw my oncologist on 12/1 and he said I am very sensitive and would lower the dose 10% for my next infusion. I have also been exhausted and had trouble motivating myself to get off the couch to get any thing accomplished. I was very grateful my daughter hosted Thanksgiving this year!
My next scan is 1/6 so hopefully I will see improvement. I don’t have a lot of cancer in my system right now, but I want to stay ahead of it. My ovarian CA was diagnosed at stage 2b in 11/23 after finding it by chance when I had an emergency appendectomy.
I had no trouble taking the eyedrops nor did I have any blurriness. I have neuropathy in my feet already from two rounds of Carbo and Taxol so I just bought cooling socks for the remainder of my infusions.
Fingers crossed for a great response. 🙏🏽🤞

2 Reactions@leighklock Thanks for checking back in after @colleenyoung replied to you. I've been learning here that when one of us has these severe GI side effects that oncologists need to know this and can make adjustments to the dosage. I'm glad to hear that your oncologist will just that for your next infusion.
Given what you wrote I'm surprised you even felt like going to any Thanksgiving celebration. How nice that your daughter hosted this year.
Many of our members have great suggestions for neuropathy. The cooling socks are one recommendation. What did you think about the post from @carol1024 and the product she is using?

Hi
I never considered not spending Thanksgiving with my family. No matter how I feel, I try to rally; I’m just not sure how many I will have with them.
I saw the post but was unable to figure out how to purchase it. I am open to trying almost anything to see if it works.
