@ruth36 I have been off six weeks and side effects are different every day, but are far from being gone
. Today the nausea is terrible, along with dizziness that passed after sitting up for about five minutes. Knees are better today than some days when I can hardly get up, let alone trying to get up from the floor.. My guess is it affects each person differently. I am considered hyper flexible and am older. My doctor felt the effects would go away in three days. I hope, for you, yours do and will be interested to hear.

I don’t understand why your doctor would think it would only take three days for the side effects to go away. That’s ridiculous.
My main side effect are my legs. I feel like I’m walking on wooden legs and that’s what makes me feel so tired..other than that I would feel pretty good so I’m hoping the end of December when I stop the Eliquis and I can stop a couple of the other meds that I’m on
I can start seeing a difference in how I walk in a few months, I don’t expect it to be in just a few days. It’s gonna take a while to get it out of your system.
Prayers for both of us and anybody else thats suffering with side effects from medication they have to be on. Hang in there

Because it’s that time of year when us older folk need to do some research on our supplement Insurance for the upcoming year I Asked if I could get an earlier appointment with my cardiologist NP (The appointment I had wasn’t until January. So I was lucky they had a cancellation and I was able to go in yesterday and was told that my cardiologist Doctor Who Is on maternity leave still wants me to stay on the Eliquis after December although she did give me an alternative which would be going on cumitin In having to get blood work done every week for who knows how long. I looked that up on the Internet to see any side effects, etc. with that besides the blood work I would need to be careful some foods that I eat such as green leafy veggies and I wouldn’t be able to take aspirin in a couple other medication’s so for the time being I decided I’m gonna stay on Eliquis even though it is really expensive and I’m not looking forward to find out what my cost will be starting in January since my prescription plan has a $615 deductible for Eliquis.
I did mention to the NP Yesterday that I had x-rays on my knees I told I have arthritis, but I told her I still think part of it is a side effect from the Eliquis, which she didn’t believe it would have that side effect stiffness in my legs and very hard to walk. She thought if any med it would be the cholesterol one that I’m taking. I didn’t even bother to tell her about this male clinic site and how I’ve read other people are having issues on Eliquis with their knees and legs.. I just don’t seem to want to listen
So I’m wondering if there’s anybody out there that maybe went from the Eliquis to doing the
cumitin And what if any side effects they had with that..
