Letters "wave" when reading

It sounds very like a macular pucker. I have this, and when I read an eye chart, the letters look like they have ink blots on them and when reading the rows of words are very wavy. But it would be strange that an eye doctor would not see that on an eye scan. In my case, it is in one eye. My vision in the other eye is fine so far.

Thank you!! I dont know why neither of them said anything. Does it get worse? And are you doing anything for it? I will consult another doctor.

@kaye46 If you can, find your way to an advanced practice Ophthalmologist. My husband had a vitrectomy at the Phillips Eye Institute in Minneapolis that did not require 48 hours face down after surgery. His vision is not perfect, but much improved from prior to the procedure last year.
