Tymlos side effects

@robe1018, I’m so sorry to hear this. I know dizziness is a common side effect of Tymlos.

May I ask: were you taking the full dose, or were you taking a smaller dose and titrating up?

I ask because I’ve read here that women will go down a click or two until the side effect subsided.

@robe1018, you mentioned you tried stopping another medication, was there any improvement? Have you been in contact with your provider to see if this side-effect is a known issue or not?

@robe1018 Good morning! I do want to say to check with your doctor first, of course, just so they know.

It just makes sense to me that the pen allows the patient to titrate for a reason, especially given the potential side effects.

I'm wondering if others have experienced an onset of insomnia while on tymlos or after finishing treatment. I just completed my two years on tymlos. After 2 days, I started having problems with insomnia. I take a sleeping pill and melatonin, but at least 2 days a week the pills don't work. My endocrinologist says it is not related with tymlos.

Yes, I have the aching legs and joints, along with fatigue that is out of proportion to the day's activity. This is the one persistent problem I still have after a month on Tymlos. The other side effects have tapered of quite a bit, so I am hoping this will, as well.

@teclena I had occasional insomnia. I’m off of it because of heart palpitations a month now. Still trouble sleeping but not as much warm wishes E

@beachesanddreams the pharmacist said titration wouldn’t help w side effects. Your body needs n expects the same dose.

@mamabear77, I ended up stopping Tymlos because of the aching legs/cramps. I couldn't sleep as well, but I think it was because of the pain I was experiencing.
