I'm earning my Associates of Science Degree and going on to an RN Program. Well at least that was my plan anyway. My kids are all over, married with families.
I'm much better with anyone else's issues than my own at this point. I am just not happy with looking at that information in my chart online, when this is the only Dr that could of put it there bc the other Drs aren't affiliated with this office? I've had my Grandaughters up here from Fort Campbell area and we went to movies tonight so a couple hours of not thinking about it. My kids all know and think it's something that can be fixed? I'm just so over this stress!

I have a 10 month Old grandson that is the joy of my life. I don't dwell on things that i will miss, like his graduation from high school any many other milestones in his life. My wife and I babysit him two days a week and he has developed a strong bond with both of us.. i try to enjoy the times together now and enjoy spending time with him. I can only do things that might hell me live longer but i really don't have any control over where IPF will take me in the future. Please try to concentrate on teethings you can enjoy with your family and you will be much happier

Hi Ray:
I had an opportunity to attend a 6 month research study with Dr Amit Sood, at the end of the 6 month study we gave a report.
Mine was the "Silver Lining of Lung Cancer"... I realized lung cancer has become my blessing.
When I was diagnosed with lung cancer, I was rushed into surgery within 48 hours. The shock was unbelievable to me and everyone
who knows me...that was 9 years and 3 months ago (but who's counting, right?)

I have come to learn, attitude is more than 50% of "Beating the Odds" besides eating healthy and exercising - I have pushed the boundaries on exercise...but it makes me breath better!

After left lung VATS Surgery where my lung was removed with a 3cm tumor and some pulmonary fibrosis...it was thought my chances were 15%/85% You know what that means right? 15% chance of beating lung cancer! I am a Never Smoker to boot!

I have been blessed to really appreciate and am grateful for each and every day. I never dreamed I would live to see our daughter deliver a baby boy that is now on skis at age 6 years. Or did I know I would live to see our youngest son, marry and have a baby boy who is now 18 months old and they are expecting our granddaughter.

You know the joy! I have read your fun journey as grandparents. Nothing quiet like being grandparents right?

We never know what around the corner, has become my favorite saying. So, I hope you will continue to enjoy each day.

Take care, and thanks for sharing on Connect! Isn't it a great community, lead by an amazing woman!

You have a great positive out look. That will help you survive. We took our grandson for his first haircut on Saturday.
