'MIRA' ointment for neuropathy
Greetings - would like to know if anyone has any experience with a product I saw online called "Mira" organic cream. Of course, they state that it works miracles! If not, any other cream that might help? My husband has idiopathic sensorimotor axonal polyneuropathy and it's extremely debilitating. Oral medications had side effects and don't help. He also has stasis dermatitis, atrial fibrillation, and now is dealing with prostate cancer. Any comments appreciated....

@mior mior I have tried a few of the creams out there described as being helpful for neuropathic pain. I wish I could say that any of them have helped but there aren't any. Of course, that's just me. I'm not willing to spend a small fortune trying all the so-called miracle creams out there. You might try 5% lidocaine or Voltaren(prescription). I wish you well on your search.

8 Reactions@mlor First, I'm sorry to hear what your husband is going through. I have the same neuropathy diagnosis as your husband which I've been dealing with for over 9 years. I am fortunate not to have pain, just numbness and poor balance. Early on, I would try many of the various promises out there that will work for those suffering with peripheral neuropathy. I have a collection of those items which I keep as a reminder to me what didn't work. After going to various top-notch doctors at various teaching hospitals, the common theme I heard is to try to keep walking and it could slow down progression. I wish you and your husband the best. Ed

5 ReactionsI wish criminal charges could be brought against all these so called cures for PN. They steal our money from us with the Bovine Residue they spread. Who knows what countries these scammers are from. There is and never will be a cure for PN. We just have to accept and adjust our lives and live with it. Amen.

6 ReactionsThank you. Good point
@njed Thank you - very helpful to put into perspective.
I'm in the same boat as your husband, but without the cancer on top of it. Make certain any product you put on your body or in your body is made in the US or to US standards (creams and ointments made in foreign countries often contain ingredients that can be harmful). Check for agreement with standards set by various organizations. I get my supplements from Full Script and they list complete ingredients of everything they sell and also list the organizations that have certified that the product meets the standards of that organization. It really helps cut down on the junk on the market to use such filters.

5 Reactions@cit10jetjockey Crooks, thugs, conmen and conwomen, $nake oil grifters. Quack, quack. Place your hand on the crystal and feel the power!
String 'em up! There, I feel better!
BUT, I think there may be prevention or maybe a cure someday. I won't see it, but I have hope for my children
Bovine Residue? Haven't tried it yet but sounds reasonable.
Keep 'em flying.

3 ReactionsI have tried many creams. I think Willow Balm is the best. It helps with the pain and I just reapply it when it wears off.
