Posted by curlyqlinda1 @curlyqlinda1, Jan 23, 2024

Doing reach, I have decided to try HRT with testosterone, very low dose. I’m in pretty good health, but was diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rhuematica 2yrs ago. I’m Just trying to make a better life with what yrs I have left. There are so many positive messages out there, and yes I’m on the older side. I have 6 daughters and we have all been doing a lot of reading on this subject. Is there anyone else trying HRT at an older age?

Ive been trying to wean myself off HRT but at 65 every time I try I get terrible sweating, feel hot, can’t sleep. Not sure what to do about it,some doctors want me completely off , my gynecologist says low dose ok.

@barscr2 I’ve recently started low dose at 68. I think the research has shown that denying get to our generation was not necessary.
My concern is more for osteoarthritis but I’m finding it to seriously improve aging skin. And now I’m realizing the psoriasis I’ve had for a while is improving dramatically.

Pleased that you shared this with us. I’m 67, suddenly came down with a severe uncontrollable anxiety disorder. Have had hot flashes for 15 years which must mean I have low estrogen. Met a wonderful ND who carefully reviewed by weight and size to determine the right amount HRT for me. Looking forward to it working for me. 🙏
