Kindness - Spreading & Accepting

Kindness Week is Nov 10-16, 2025. Kindness Day is Nov. 13, 2025. How about thoughts about sharing Kindness? Anyone with me? I think it makes us healthier to think about others and allow others to be kind to us.
Here is one to get us going. Our librarian has to close up alone in the dark. Since the library is just across the street, I went over to be with a new librarian at closing so she would feel safe as she chased everyone out and locked the doors.

I love that you helped your librarian close in the dark. That is definitely thoughtful and kind. Kindness and gratitude are so uplifting and essential especially in today’s political climate. My cousin is crippled and has to use a walker to get around. She uses small bags to send her laundry to the basement. She loves all things cowboy. So, when she asked me to fix her laundry bags, old Ace Hardware bags that were coming apart at the seams, I got her some new canvas bags and ironed on cowboy decals. She was surprised and very happy to have new laundry bags.

I love this topic and looking forward to everyone's comments. A couple of slogans are Kindness Matters Kindness Wins. I put myself in the other person' shoes. We all need help every now and then. I feel touched when someone helps me on a whim when I least expect it. I'll try to go the extra mile and make my day fulfilling. Doing small acts of kindness definitely makes a brighter place to live.

I am getting ready for my Kindness Day activities so I need to Kindness up. This clip made me smile and I am still smiling.
On the last few minutes of Jimmy Kimmel talked about how his relative’s webcam recorded a Halloween Night event.
I don’t know how to just link to the Halloween part, but you can skip the Kimmel part and listen to just the Halloween story.
Look at about the 11 minute mark.

A big kid empties out the candy bowl and then later another kid finds a way to fix that.

That's one kool kit-kat boy saves Halloween. And Kit-Kat chocolate bars happen to be my fave. Thanks for sharing.

My gran was big on kindness. Be kind, she’d say when we were kids.

So many opportunities every day to be kind. Whether it’s taking someone’s shopping trolley back for them because you’re headed that way and saving them the walk. Or taking a discarded trolley back to unblock a car bay for someone else. Giving a homeless person some money or food. Offer to walk a sick neighbour’s dog or do a shop for them or help in their garden. Let someone in when driving.

I’ll make even more of an effort to see where I’ve been missing opportunities. Thanks for the post ❤️‍🩹

I volunteer at our local food pantry every week. It costs nothing to smile at someone, with that smile going all the way to your eyes. It costs nothing to interact with kindness, and when a customer says "thank you for being here for us", to respond with, "you're very welcome, I hope we are able to help you out". We are an emergency food source, not a regular shopping spot. It is our goal to be able to provide 3-5 days of food for every household who presents themselves at our door. We try our best to do that. With dignity.
