I had a watchman 45 days ago Procedure was flawless and I was on my way home after 2 hours of laying flat. I go for the TEE in two days. And then if all healed properly I will stop the Plavix. I have never had a TEE so just curious if I will be able to eat or drink after the procedure. Everything I read says no. Any suggestions
My wife had a TEE a few weeks ago. Bring some throat lozenges, as @gloaming suggested, as your throat may be sore and it helps. She was tired afterward and not that hungry for a while. You are sedated so it takes a bit to shake out the grogginess. They do limit you on food and drink ahead of time.

I opted for the watchman along with ablation. The first week after surgery was a challenge for me. My A fib was chronic and I felt like my heart was being damaged before the ablation so my situation may be different from others. A fib stopped with the surgery. Now 4 months post surgery heart is good but I don’t know if my aerobic capacity will ever be as good as before the A fib. I should be off plavix in 2 months. I can hardly wait since I am bruising so easily afraid to ride my bike etc. I checked out the doctor and how long and how many watchman he had performed. Good luck with making your choice. I read a lot about the watchman and watched several videos on its placement.
