Right side only sore throat for 3 months
52 yr old, female, 190 Ibs, 5'4". No smoking. High blood pressure only. No other health issues. NO GERD, LPR or post nasal drip. The past 3 months I have been having constant right side sore throat. I went to my family dr who said she couldn't see anything, but put me on steroids and flonase. Went to ENT who said had eustachian tube dysfunction bc my left ear was blocked and didnt seem concerned about my sore throat. Went to a 2nd ent who did a nasal endoscopy and said she didnt see anything either and put me on amoxicillin/clav for 3 wks along w azelastine nose spray. Still no comfort. Went to a 3rd ENT and he said my right tonsil looks red and irritated.I have to go for a cat scan which i did today. I still havent heard anything as it still hasnt been read yet. I can see see the pictures fr the cat scan and some of them have an exclamation point on them. My health anxiety is throught the roof!!! I am so scared! and fearing the worst! Please help what can be causing this? Other than the sore throat i do not feel any lumps outside or when I swallow. just this persistent one sided sore throat. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Ok , let’s pray it’s bad tooth, or sinus, allergies
In my case I went to Dentist, they sent me to endodontist , went to ER have MRI ,saw an issue, referred me to ENT, he put Camera down my Nostrils and they saw the issue. Was referred to Head Neck Specialist and did Pet Scan with Dye see the area do concern . Had throat surgery removing the Lingual Tonsils and had throat biopsies . Found out it was HPV virus. Had 7 weeks Radiation and Chemo therapy. Just had PET and everything looked normal.
They were able to fit me in with a throat scoping yesterday; we are flying home this a.m.
Even though the vagus nerve was undamaged after the operation, it is still throwing fits... the surgeon said the vagus nerve is a brat. LOL. It may not have been damaged, but it didnt like getting yanked around and its buddy the tumor taken away. So, it may take quite awhile for the tantrum to end. Which means lump in throat, ear pain, etc.
@worriedone , I had my tonsils out 30+ yrs ago. Not fun, but glad I did. No more strept, etc.
Wishing u the best!
