I want to fast, should I continue prednisone.
I am prescribed prednisone only for about two weeks so far, now I want to fast for three days to reset my nervous system, during fasting I don’t know if I should continue the medication? 💊. Can I stop prednisone for three days and start it again later? It states it may be hard on stomach. I think I will continue the medication but fast carefully. If I don’t feel well I guess I could always just eat something healthy. What are your thoughts or experiences please.

Welcome @pawprintpeg, This is a question that you really need to discuss with your rheumatologist or doctor. I regularly do intermittent fasting but my PMR is in remission and I'm no longer on prednisone. Here's a reference that might provide a little information on the question topic.

You mentioned that you have only been on prednisone for a couple of weeks. Have you been diagnosed with PMR? Is the prednisone helping with the PMR pain?
What dose of prednisone are you on?
@johnbishop

Pred is helping ALOT.
I have decided to NOT fast.

Dosed at 20mg for 7 days, then 15 mg for 7 days, then 12.5 mg for 7 days, then stabilize at 10 mg ongoing
Fasting may slightly increase the chances if GI irritation of prednisone. You could discuss taking something like Pepcid twice a day with your doctor to prevent this.
I found a study of patients taking low dose prednisone 2,5-5 mg per day during Ramadan without significant symptoms or harm
I think it would be important to maintain hydration, so drink lots of water
