Loss of balance, nauseous
82 years old. Diagnosed with Parkinsons Dec,/23. Mild tremors on left side is worst it has been to date but this morning I had a strange lack of balance to the left. It felt like something was pulling me down and I couldn't stop it . I was sitting on the bed so I was able to lay down on my side but then I began to experience nausea and began to vomit.I dosed off after a while, slept for an hour and began to feel better.Pretty scary experience. Anything I can do if this happened while I'm out shopping or driving?

2 ReactionsHi, @sissyg - you'll notice I moved your post here, which is so you could talk to others chatting about Parkinson's and nausea-related issues in this discussion in the Parkinson's Disease support group, "Loss of balance, nauseous." Hoping you could connect with members such as @hopeful33250 @canuck82 @cartercd @kschnei206 and others, who might have some thoughts on your nausea, bloating, constipation and lack of appetite in light of your Parkinson's.
What types of specialists have you seen related to these symptoms, sissyg? What have they said about your symptoms, and what have they suggested you do to treat them?

1 ReactionHello @sissyg and welcome to the PD support group on Mayo Clinic Connect. I'm sorry to hear of these uncomfortable symptoms you are experiencing. Some of the symptoms, like constipation, can be a result of Parkinson's.
Sometimes, when we have hard-to-diagnose health issues, we need to act like detectives to find out the cause. Since many of these symptoms are related to GI issues, I'm wondering if you have seen a gastroenterologist? What type of diagnostic tests have you had? What type of Parkinson's meds are you currently taking?
I look forward to hearing from you again.

1 ReactionNectar Calm helps me a lot. After a couple of weeks, Magnesium Glycinate helps with PD's effects on digestion. And eating a little bit helps with the nausea.
