So far as I know, all of the drugs increase bone density in the spine faster than the hip, but the spine is also important. Compression fractures of the spine are very painful and can put a person in a wheel chair. Any increase on none density of the hip is protective against hip fractures, but as you get older, it's important to work on your balance and do whatever you can to prevent falls, even if it means using a cane or walker.

Hip fracture also makes one bed-ridden and ultimately bed-sores which is very painful in old age. So can you tell me one drug which increases bone density in the hips (i.e., femur neck left and femur neck right)?
