Does anyone have any tips for pre and post op TURP procedure?

I had a PI-Rads 5 lesion that resolved itself over a 6 month period.

I had a TURP done and have been incontinent for the last 7 years anybody else going through this?

Curley, have you worked with a physical therapist on Kegel's or other pelvic floor exercises?

I had Green Light Laser therapy to remove part of my bladder neck that was keeping urine in my bladder in 2011, in Springfield, IL. That procedure worked to solve my urge incontinency, but the problem has returned within the past couple of years, and it's one of the things Mayo is seeing me for. They want me to use an intermittent catheter, which I was opposed to at first, but I've grown to accept the idea as the "least bad" option. Drug therapy doesn't work for me, or causes me to hold too much urine in my bladder.

I am not sure what a physical therapist could do?

For anyone considering having surgery that will require using a catheter, DON'T. I'm not being entirely serious, but guys, when they removed my catheter after LASER surgery to remove some of my prostate, it sent me into a state of so much pain, I went crazy. Screaming at the top of my lungs. I couldn't help it. I lost control and screamed as loud as I could. It hurt more than anything I've ever experienced. Wondering what others have gone through with the removal of a Foley catheter.

@relieffrompain I had to wear one for over a month. It does hurt some when they pull it out. But they do it quit its not as bad.

I had that badboy in there for 4 days over the weekend after my Rezum procedure. The day I was supposed to get it out we had a snowstorm and I couldn't leave the house. So I withdrew it myself after deflating the bulb with the tip of a pen. It came out rather easily and painlessly although it was a little weird. I couldn't get over how far that thing was in there it seemed like there was no end to it! After a year or two the prostate regrew because I am right back to where I was; now I am considering HOLEP or ???
