@kris1130 does part of why he feels you may have familial hypercholesterolemia because of a strong family history of heart attacks or strokes?

My impression is that vaginal estrogen creams are absorbed into the bloodstream with the intensity to increase cardiovascular risk? Does anyone else know differently?

@laura1970 , I’m no expert but I have been told by all my doctors that the local Estradiol cream does not enter into the system the way HRT does. That’s why even doctors who do not prescribe HRT , do prescribe local Estradiol. I’ve also read it multiple places and heard female urologists say the same thing in their you tube videos. If course, using it is a personal decision, but I’m annoyed no doctor ever offered it to me. I discovered it myself and requested it.

@laura1970 that was a typo. Sorry about that. Meant to say vaginal estrogen creams are NOT absorbed into the bloodstream with the intensity required to increase CV risk.

My apologies

Both my parents and grandfather had high cholesterol and all have passed now. So I think with having my health history, lifestyle that is why she (primary) feels it could be familial.
