Your angst and worry is quite understandable; I was diagnosed in 2023 and still sometimes go to bed worrying about will I have afib tonight... it's hard to keep my mind from spiraling into "what ifs", once you get an appointment with an electrophysiologist heart doctor, write down your list of fears and questions to take to your appointment. Over time, as you learn about afib, hopefully, your 3AM anxiety attacks will lessen; are you taking an anticoagulant like eliquis? You're not alone in having the 3AM "monster under the bed" episodes ; I try to pray and think about some things good in my life to get back to sleep. Easy to say, hard to do... maybe you can get a KardiaMobile Card to use to document your events to discuss with your doctor too.
You're not alone,,,, have Faith, not Fear

My post was to frankie555, hopefully I commented in the correct place

@pearl72 thanks so much for your reply. I’m not seeing a cardiologist until early November. Just on Metropolol 2x day at the moment. No anti coagulants as my Chadvas score was a 1. I have soooo many questions. I’m doing all that I can at the moment. Trying to get more sleep, drinking lots of water and eating right. Hope to have a plan after my cardiologist visit. I hope that will help settle my anxiety.
