Agent Orange and Neurological Disorders
I just read a post from a veteran who discussed the effects of Agent Orange and Parkinson's Disease. It made me wonder if there are others who have had similar experiences? If so, is there anything you have learned from your medical team and/or the VA regarding this? Please feel free to share your story.

No problem with treatments. I keep having skin cancers and tge VA,stated has nothing to do with Agent Orange. Then I received information about Agent Blue and it caused skin cancers. I knew nothing about Agent Blue and there is not much written about it. Researching this now. Looking for information.

3 Reactions@jimmyray, I'm not sure if you have used Google Scholar before for doing medical research but it's a great search tool. What I like is that you can sort the results by year at the left. Here's a search on "agent blue vietnam" which found quite a bit of information -- https://scholar.google.com/scholar

2 ReactionsI'm with you on this one, Brother.
Vets, get those claims filed. And if possible, get a good veteran Service Officer to write it for you. (They know the proper wording on the claim forms.)
And to all of my Nam brothers, welcome home.

3 ReactionsWelcome home, Brother.
I have Ischemic Heart Disease, & Hypothyroidism from my time in Vietnam. Now, almost 60 years later, I have been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. I've had the symptoms of PD for many years, but blamed them on the heart disease, when they were actually PD symptoms. I've had severe obstructive and central sleep apnea for about 6 years. Now I'm going to blame that on my Parkinson's Disease.
They're still selling that weed killer under the name of Roundup. It's much like agent orange. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WITH THAT STUFF, or just DON'T USE IT!

Served in USMC 68 69. My wife and I live at a Senior Living facility. We had lunch with another resident whose husband flew F4s. Agent Orange led to his diagnosis of Parkinson Disease.

A friend's older brother, Charlie Plumb, was also an F4 pilot who was shot down and did 6 years as a POW. He still does meetings with companies and organizations to boost moral and teamwork among employees. Look up Charlie Plumb on YouTube and you'll find several of those meetings that were recorded & posted.
My claim for Parkinson's Disease has already been filed. I suspected I had the disease back in June. I discussed it with my VSO and she filed an intent to file just after I talked with her in June. I didn't know she had done that until I called her to tell her I was confirmed as having Parkinson's. I sent her a copy of my diagnosis and she sent it in to the VA for me. Thanks for your message. I appreciate it.
