tongue problems

I HAVE A TOPAGRAPHICAL TONGUE FULL OF LARGE FISSURES. pAINFUL WHEN I EAT DIFFERENT FOODS AND BLEED EASILY CANNOT FIND A CURE FOR THIS WAITING ON INTERNAL MEDECINE FOR ANSWERS

That sounds really painful. I don't have that mine is more from the under lining of the tissue on top of my tongue. Its under the actual tissue on top of my tongue. When I pull my upper mouth along my tongue and push my tongue out this slimmy soft tenticles come off. I have been to a doctor he said thrush then went to an ent he couldn't find anything even doing a very thorough exam. Went to my dentist he said get a tongue brush. I did but it doesn't help. Don't know what to do next. Any suggestions!!

Hi Brit, I didn't know what to say to your issue that is going on with your tongue because I have never experienced anything like that. But days later I had a thought. My mouth gets extremely dry and my tongue turns white. I have to rinse my mouth with a certain mouth wash and chew on tart gum. But the point is my dentist discovered that my parotid glands were blocked. They are the glands that produce saliva, Plus my meds I am sure don't help.
Just a thought. Hope you find answers soon. I know it has to be very frustrating....Good luck!

Thank you for your email. What did your dentist do for blocked parotid glands? My situation is different than your except you do get a white tongue. That is acid coming from your stomach. That's what the professional say anyway. I am just going to keep working with it and give it a couple more weeks then make an appointment with Mayo. They will for sure find out what is causing this.

They really didn't do anything for my parotid glands. My mouth does get very dry as they don't [produce saliva. They basically told me to buy sour sugarless gum or hard candy and rinse my mouth with ACT for dry mouth. It helps a little. A lot of it is some of my meds. It's a side effect to a few. Let me know what your doctor says. Very interested! Good luck. Praying for answers for you....

I have the same thing and was told after much searching it is a sign of a long standing B vitamin deficiency and tests have proven this is true.

did they say there was any cure. My doc has no idea about it at all.

Hi Julie thank you so much for my email. After taking the vitamin B did your tongue feel better? This has made my day and I am so grateful for your response. What kind of tests did they do on you? Like I'm sure you read from my emails my family doctor my dentist and ENT never suggested anything. How long have you been taking the B vitamin?
