@hraka13 Thanks for asking. There is a reason why they call it ENT (ear, nose, throat) doctors. Those canals and ducts share drainage passages. That doesn't always mean that if you have a problem with your ears, then your nose is also be affected.

In my case this Urgent Care PA chose to have medicine through my nose because it shares a passage with my ear canals. If you look at the contents of some eye medicine soloution such as prednisolone, it may be found in both ear drops and eye drops.

I didn't have tinnitus, but just an ear ache and soreness probably due to allergies. The spray in my nostrils was strong and reduced the irritation in my ears. Either way, ear discomfort is not fun.
