I have not had any dental problems but it doesn’t surprise me. I find it hard to direct the powder into my throat, a lot of it goes on my tongue and tastes awful! I have COPD and Emphysema, and have used Trelegy for about 3 months, it seems to work pretty well for me.

My new lung doctors got me going on brestri I’m in stage four COPD also with bronchial problems. I didn’t think my trilogy worked all that great it does some stuff is anybody had any trouble with taking those and getting infection in your teeth or anything? Just thought I’d ask.

Try good rinsing and gargling after morning and evening therapy. That will help

I am on Breztri 2x daily and an albuterol nebulizer 4x daily. Also on oxygen therapy @ 2 lpm. I have onky been on meds since March of 2025 so I don't have a comparison. Breztri is what I started with and can certainly feel when it starts wearing off.
I am still navigating norms for me, and what tools work to help gain contol of my breathing.

As others have mentioned, we each react differently to the meds available.
I have been on Breztri for 3+ years and it has worked well for me with no side effects.
I also use Combivent Respimat as a rescue inhaler as needed, started Dupixent a year ago, and a few months ago, my pulmonologist added Ohtuvayre.
I'm stage 3, not on O2, exercise regularly. This disease is progressive so meds may change over time. Stay active, keep moving, and my best to everyone.

@donnab213 Same with me. Have been on Breztri for 4 years, Combivent if needed. Happy to have not really needed the Combivent much since mid-August 2024 when I started Ohtuvayre, Stage 3 too, exercise at least every other day, breathing exercises as well. Agree on the important needed movement!

I started trilogy when it was new, but discovered one of the ingredients was causing severe coughing, and then started using Symbicort which was better . my cough stopped. I started using Breztri when it first became available and find that it is the best thing so far for me. I use albuterol rescue inhaler, as well as nebulizer with ipotropium. So far so good.

I found Breztri to improve my symptoms over the Trelegy that I had been taking. Still using it in conjucntion with Ventolin. Stage IV COPD, with Chronic Bronchitis and just recently started the 02. What can I say! It is what it is!
I have had terrible insomnia for the past 6 months that has gone unaddressed until today. This Pulmo Sleep Dr has recommended Trazadone 50 mg for sleep. Has anyone experienced insomnia secondary to the inhaler usage as both ventolin and Breztri have compounds that could act as stimulants making sleep a little difficult especially if used in the evening.

@kndaustin71 i have insomnia for 2 yrs but the steroid inhalers are not the culprit as I have bern on them for over 20 yrs. let us know how Trazadone works. I have onset insomnia and understand Trazadone is mostly to keep you asleep. i take ambien snd it does put me to sleep eventually but causes sleepiness the next day.
