CLL, Spontaneous Regression
Diagnosed with CLL at age 50 from blood tests and bone marrow my disease progressed slowly for 10 years without treatment.
After 10 years my blood counts started improving and 15 years after my diagnosis no signs of CLL were present in my blood.
This is referred to as a Spontaneous Regression and rare.
Now at age 75 next month, I've stayed regressed for 10 years but my oncologist won't call it a cure and I only need to have blood taken once a year.
Has anyone else experienced this or know of others that have regressed spontaneously?

2 ReactionsGreat news for you! What are you eating, drinking or doing to cause this I wonder. Do you exercise? If so, what kind? Did you have enlarged lymph nodes? You are an interesting case and I hope you continue along like this. Best Wishes

1 ReactionHi ,I was diagnosed at 53
Was advised that I’d be monitored with 6 monthly bloods
After 6 months my haematologist looked up from his screen to ask had we been treating me , my white blood cells had dropped down to normal range , my swollen neck lymph node had also gone away in those months ( this was after I’d gone on a regime of alternative days of circumin and green tea extract ,also was taking medicinal mushroom extract ,followed this regime for 3/4 months ,then discovered high dose ( higher than what is usually advised ) vitamin D )
Took up to 16000ius daily
Anyway long story short ,he was dumbfounded ,did a few more blood tests ,and is now happy to put me on once yearly bloods
2 years later still normal
Anyway though I’d share my story as it is quite rare to regress without treatment (up to 2% of cases do )
And I’m not certain what caused it to regress
But I do have a sneaky feeling that the famous vaccine that tine of 2021/22 possibly weakened my immune system to allow a CLL disease to take hold
I wish you continyed good health and if anyone wants to reach out feel free
Thanks for allowing this forum to tell my story

5 ReactionsWOW! Azaming story!! I would like to know specifically what you took (name brand, what type of mushrooms the format, dose per serving, how many does per day). Thank you so much. I am working with an oncologist Dietian who did her masters on mushrooms. She said in Asia doctors are administering mushroom extracts as medicine to treat cancer……very exciting
