Lichen Sclerosus: Any other women dealing with this disease?
Is anyone out there dealing with this disease? I am currently using a compound ointment that my oncologist prescribed but I'm looking for possible lazer treatments or anything else that might now be available.

I use Pure Purple Emu Oil and also extra virgin coconut oil and get instant relief with both.
Good luck
When I was first diagnosed (about 4 -5 years ago) I was prescribed steroid ointment (Triamcinolone). I’ve used it about 2x a week now when I feel the need for itch relief. That along with Dove soap for sensitive skin has keep LS in check.
I do have concerns about using a steroid ointment this long.
Does anyone have alternative remedies that have helped? thanks in advance
Not sure where you are but I am in the UK. Here we have an over the counter antiseptic ointment called Germoline. I find it excellent and it has no side effects (for me at least).
@abi66 I’m in the US, but, I do see it is available here on Amazon. I think I’ll try it- thanks
Great news , I’ll also order it
Ty so much
@gaggy
Ask dr for Rx for ketoconisole shampoo. It was prescribed for my LS by my urogynocologist.
I fly out to Pensacola, Florida yearly to have laser treatments from my urogynocologist Dr Michael Coyle at Coyle Institute. Tulip Procedure is his LS laser treatment, and it gives great relief. He now has me using ONLY OZONATED COCONUT OIL, no steroids, and I’ve been lesion-free since my February treatment. I get this from him or from Amazon.
I also tried a laser procedure by a urogynocologist in nearby Phoenix who specializes in LS, too, but had zero relief from his treatments. Not all procedures are equally effective. So Coyle Institute it is.
I do hope you find relief soon!

My urogynocologist has me using ONLY OZONATED COCONUT OIL now, and I’ve been lesion-freezing beginning that. I just use se it once or twice a day, so it lasts a month or more. I get it on Amazon.
Best of health to you. I hope you get relief soon. I finally did.
