Super Beta Prostate and Saw Palmetto

Posted by howardrlewis @howardrlewis, Sep 16 7:52am

I have tried medications typically prescribed to help with frequent urination especially at night. The issue is they prevent ejaculation in sex. I have found Super Beta Prostate and Saw Palmetto to be better for limiting frequent urination and not limiting sex. Anyone else have a similar experience?

...this is a good summary of BPH, the various techniques & treatments and finally AQUABLATION

Some decades ago I took Saw Palmetto for several years for BPH. It had little to no effect. I have checked out Super Beta Prostate and found it is reported to have very inconsistent results. Whether you take it or not is your choice but it is expensive and I would not pay that price on the basis that it is unlikely to be really effective.
You say that medications (I presume you mean prescribed medications like Tamsulosin and Finasteride?) "prevent ejaculation in sex." Finasteride certainly can have unfortunate side effects and it affected me that way, but only after taking it for some years. I spoke to my Doctor and have now been prescribed Tamsulosin and Tadalafil. I am getting as much relief from BPH symptoms now as when I was taking Tam. and Fin. but without any of the previous side effects.
Supplements can be good but I prefer to stick to approved medicines with proven effectiveness.

ALFUZOSIN is probably better than tamsulosin for not causing retrograde ejaculation. At least it was for me. Ending up having aquablation done 6 months ago, but it caused retrograde in my case. Typically doesn’t.
