Hello .....to ease her pain she is prescribed morphine by the doctor .....she has started with 10 mg

Good morning. I was going to write you to see how your mom is doing. Morphine is a good drug for pain. If she is still in pain then your doctor should be told. Also maybe warm compresses might help, or a heating pad on low. Can she move her arm at all? Has her cancer moved to other parts of her body? May I get personal and ask if what region you live in? I am here in the USA, Rhode Island I travel to see my surgeon and oncologist to Boston.

ah- are you in the US now? My mom visited India way back in my young adult life, before I had cancer.

I'm in India only....the doctor prescribed to take Oncotame twice a day but from today she is is gonna take only once in a day

So you are still in India and have chosen to go to an herbal cancer clinic. May I ask if this was your mother's choice?

Does patient with lung cancer have this kind of pain

Ok. Is she aware that herbal medicines are not the first choice for treatments? There are other clinics near you that can provide a more tested and complete approach to what your mom has. Lots of patients with lung cancer do get severe pain, but this is where other tested approaches to cancer come in. Since herbal medicines are not tested and seldom work for cancer symptoms your mom's pain might continue to be bad or increase. I wish that I could give you better news. Is there anyway you can suggest to your mom to at least talk to another doctor, connected to another way of handling cancer?

I had to remove it because the patient's full name and patient ID was not blacked out. I saw that you blacked out her name and understand the value of safety and privacy. From the information you posted, it would appear that your mom has metastatic lung cancer which is stage 4 (not stage 2). The diagnosis appeared incomplete. For example, the type of lung cancer was not specified.

It is common for people to seek second opinions from medical professionals. If this is possible where you live, I strongly urge you to do so. Cancer pain is a common symptom of metastatic cancer (cancer that has spread). Morphine can help. Sometimes other treatments, like radiation, can ease the pain. If possible, seek the help of a cancer pain specialist or palliative care doctor. Definitely tell your mom's doctor if the current pain medication is not helping enough. I hope you can find a way to ease your mom's pain.
