Epilepsy with Parkinson's
My wife, 69 years old was operated for Parkinson's. Thereafter she developed paralysis, she lost her speech, got seizure, again admitted came out with oxygen support. Two days back she again suffered from epilepsy and now right side of her face is continuously twitching. I am from India and her only care taker. For the last three years have been cut off from the society. No one to speak to. Alone at home just taking her care Feeling lost.

I am so sorry for all you are going through. Am I understanding correctly that your wife had surgery a few years ago and has since developed these other symptoms (epilepsy, twitching face?) It must be very hard to see how she is suffering.
I am so sorry you are feeling alone. There are many others in this community that also feel isolated and alone either because of their illness or because they are taking care of someone is sick. You are not alone and you are doing a beautiful thing in caring for your wife! There is always hope! Sending prayers.

Welcome to the Epilepsy & Seizures community at Mayo Clinic Connect. As @cmmichaela mentioned, you're not alone here!
I'm truly sorry to hear about everything you and your wife are facing. It sounds like an incredibly difficult journey for both of you.
I'd like to learn more about your wife's care so that our community can better support you. Is she currently taking any medications to manage her seizures? If yes, would you mind sharing these medications? Also, is she under the care of a neurologist, or is her epilepsy being managed by another type of specialist?
Namaste 🙏
Chris

You mentioned that you've been cut off from society. I'm very sorry you're experiencing that.
An idea came to mind that might interest you—have you heard of the Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute & Research Center in Lonavla?

It's a therapeutic yoga center where you'll find a welcoming and understanding community along with therapeutic support. I've found that at my yoga school here in São Paulo, Brazil, which is affiliated with the Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute. Visiting there is on my dream list!
I'm not sure how accessible Lonavla is from where you are; I know India is a vast country. Is it somewhere you could realistically visit, or would it be too far?
