Hi my name is selin ,, I just discovered my lung cancer one month ago ,, I’m in the forth stage ,, I just started my chemotherapy and radiation therapy
I am having surgery in Jan 2024 for a 13 mm typical neuroendocrine tumor. Dr. said will probably remove 10% of left lung. I’m female, 77, walk 30 minutes minimum at the Y on indoor track 5x a week, do another 30 minutes on rowing or elliptical. I was told it will be robotic and probably discharged two days after surgery. I live alone and am considering employing a caregiver. I understand we are all different, but am interested in a guesstimate of how many days I may need someone to stay with me.
My lung cancer was a surprise.I had no symptoms but had a chest X-ray as I was going to have a watchman implanted in my heart for AFIB. It showed a mass of 3.4 c so thank god I decided to have the watchman.I am 80 years old and also have diabetes. They did a biopsy and yes it is cancer, started chemo on the 8 of February and the 15. I then have a week off and start over twice more. They will then do pet scan and hopefully surgery. Super tired and yeast infection under breasts. Very painful
