Does anyone have TMJ that creates their headache and dizziness?
My dentist just told me my headaches could be coming from my jaw. He said it is not too misaligned and maybe not enough, but consider it.

Yes, I have. I don’t mess with adjusting things like personally. I have EDS and really bad TMJ. If I did any sort of adjusting to that, I would put myself in a place where I wouldn’t be able to close my mouth. There is a little disc that sits in between your jaw that when you open your mouth, it will slip in and out and that’s what causes that clicking.
After reading through all of your post, I have been struggling for the last two years with extreme headaches and a lot of the same symptoms that you do. I finally saw a new Neuro ophthalmologist and was recently diagnosed with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH) after spending two years at Mayo seeing a neurologist an Neuro ophthalmologist being completely gaslit!
I am on day three of the new medication and I can already tell a difference and have some relief in the amount of pressure that is in my head.
So I noticed in all the things that you were going through that was something that no one had thrown out there as a suggestion so I just wanted to give you that one to maybe look into too
I have not been hearing good things about Mayo. Sorry.
I have chronic daily headaches. I have tried many of the migraine drugs and they work for a while and then don’t.
For the last several weeks I have severe headaches daily and nothing eased the pain. I use ice packs to take the edge off but no relief. My neurologist says there is nothing more he can do. My head hurts so bad that I cannot function. Has anyone here tried the Reed implant procedure?

This is what resolved my headaches and so many other EDS symptoms.
Check out that link. Learn about Facial Counterstrain.
It’s the one and only thing that has relieved ongoing headaches and pain.
Facial Counterstrain PT is how, for myself, that a lot of EDS symptoms, including head aches, neck pain, back pain etc have been resolved or at least managed. It takes a PT additional hours to get the training and it’s very different from conventional PT. It’s not facial massage or a method that takes only a few weekends to train. It’s extensive but I’m sure it can resolve so many problems. I wish Mayo would hire some. People are suffering. This is an answer I haven’t seen posted. I so wish there were more PTs with this education across the country because it’s a life changer for people in pain and amazingly it has improved other symptoms as well. I’m not associated with the SCS PT in any way other than it changing my life. Again, it’s not conventional PT.
