Does eating less red meat help reduce risk prostate cancer recurrence?
Hi !
My husband had a successful radical prostatectomy . I think it would benefit him (as in prevent a recurrence or future cancer of another type) to drastically reduce his red meat consumption or even better yet, STOP it but he feels otherwise. I am curious if anyone can refer me to documentation or medical journal article to support my theory.
Thank you!

Too funny!
It's very simple forget the red meat..testasteron of androgen is the food for the prostate cancer molekule ..supplements like Lyicope from tomato, mashrom small buttons, curcumin kaps,or powder..lots of greens and fruit nuts, poultry bio pasture if possible.
I cut out red meat and processed meat entirely. I hope I can still have chicken and fish?
I also see people saying to cut out dairy, but my MO says that is nonsense. She did say follow a Mediterranean diet.

PS: UCSF advised complete cessation of milk products if possible. That was the only thing they suggested to be "eliminated" . For meat and eggs suggestion was "reduce" or "limit".
According to UCSF : "Men who consumed 3 or more dairy servings daily had 76% increased risk of OVERALL mortality and 141% higher risk for prostate specific mortality. "

Actually, there’s been some serious egg studies that say if you eat more than three eggs a week, it can be a problem. Do a search on the web and you’ll find Those studies.
Agreed ! I excluded eggs also. 👍 I was just reporting what UCSF said. : )
One should move to plant based protein, occasional fish and that is it. Moderation is for healthy people IMHO, once you have cancer it is the whole another game, unfortunately . : (((
