Two shoulder surgeries in 1978 and one in 1979. They have been trying to replace both my shoulders for more than 15 years, but that won't happen as long as I can function with an acceptable amount of discomfort.

What do you take for pain?

@the
I seldom take anything these days. As long as I’m not very active I get by fine. I sometimes use Advil or aspirin.

I used Celebrex for years for arthritis and back pain. I know many say generic drugs are the same ---- BUT the generic Celebrex does nothing for me anymore. - Good -Luck!!

I have multiple pain issues at 70-- My back surgery is on hold. I take Percocet once daily. Plus extra strength aspirin. Prescribed by my pain management doctor.

Hi there,
I’m on celebrex for the same problems it sounds like. I have ankylosing spondylitis. It causes a lot of inflammation, and pain in my back, hips, tail bone and several areas along my spine and in between my shoulders. It’s a terrible disease that prevents me from being able to bend over or stand to long. It actually prevents you from doing anything for too long, even sitting. There is no cure, I take a biologic injection once a month called Bimzelix. It is supposed to slow down the progression of the disease. I haven’t seen a whole lot of benefit yet as I was just switched over to this med a few months ago. I do pray it will start helping a lot more than it is.
I was on meloxicam 15 mg once a day, but it was not enough. I still had a lot of pain and with meloxicam you couldn’t take any thing else especially not NSAIDs.
I recently changed to Celebrex 200 mg taken twice a day, I think it’s helping more than the meloxicam. One of the things I like about this is if I am in to much pain, overdid or muscle spasms, I can skip the second pill and take ibuprofens, and or a muscle relaxer or lidocaine patch or a lot more wine lol.
With Celebrex, you take one in the morning and one before you go to bed so it does give you the option to skip one if you need something else or more.

I hope this helps, prayers you find some relief as living with chronic pain is difficult and robs us of enjoyment in our daily lives, as you know.
Why are you taking Celebrex, what is your diagnosis?

I hope this helps.

Its an NSAID, I can't take them anymore, bad GI upset only from them. Most pain meds stop working if taken for long periods of time. Best wishes

I have Celebrex but don't take it anymore, although it did help me very much. I have RA with scoliosis, DDD and have pain no matter what I do (household chores, gardening, laundry, dishes, etc). I had to stop Celebrex due to terrible constipation from it, and I miss it a lot.

😳 omg no wonder, l had no idea it had that side effect!!! I’m having a bad problem with that, I’m already struggling terribly with constipation
I’ve been on amitiza for constipation for two plus years.
I have had that problem my entire life. I can’t believe not even one of my
doctors put that
together.
I have the same issue with all of the things you mentioned. I hurt if l spend time on watering/ gardening or potting plants. I can’t mop or vacuum. I am hurting from almost anything I
do. Having coffee in bed is painful, taking a freaking bath has been so uncomfortable and painful. I need a back pillow that works. I’m in search of another chair cushion and back pillow for our fifth wheel and for any travel.
I don’t want to complain, I really try to be positive but lately it’s been so hard to stay positive.
I’m interested in knowing what is going on with you and why you’re hurting.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks again for letting me know about Celebrex. I appreciate it.
Thank you for letting me know.

I was told celebrix is just a super charged Advil/motrin

Make sure you have a stomach pill to protect your tummy 😂

So if those things give you pain relief then yes this should help

I take 100 mg at night . I find it upsets my stomach . Not sure if it helps with inflammation
