Anyone taking Tagrisso for Lung Cancer?

stock3771, sorry to hear you're going through this. However, be careful with that "tons of water". Many of your body's minerals are water soluble. Drinking excessive amounts of water can cause dangerously low levels of these essential minerals.

For example, low sodium, which is a condition I suffer from, can cause seizures. He limits me to 50-60 oz of fluid, all fluids, a day. Since I live in the South, on days when I'm outside and sweating, he advises, "Drink to thirst."

Every body is different. This one is 65-years-young and has had stage 4 lung cancer, EGFR Exon 19 mutation, for 5 years and takes Tagrisso and Eliquis daily. Good luck with what's going on!

Thanks for the message. I’ve only been on Tagrisso for 2+ months and so far have had positive results- no mucus in throat, no coughing, no hoarse voice after a week. I have my first CT Scan end of September and hoping for more positive results. I like reading about folks who let us know that in this day and age, this can be a chronic illness and not a death sentence.

@babs1956 and @stock3771, very true again! I no longer even think of myself as a survivor. I'm someone who is living with cancer. Big difference.

I’m grateful that I (we) are able to treat this with Tagrisso. I opted out of chemo for now - we’ll reevaluate after my CT Scan. After my diagnosis, the first two weeks were rough. Whenever I hear of someone who has been diagnosed I remember that. Now sometimes I forget about all of this and am continuing on with a normal life. But those first few weeks were hard. Thanks for your comments - continued health!

I have been taking Taurus’s for 18 months, dosage st 80 mgs. The only reaction I’ve had is a rash on my torso. I also fast 18/6, follow Dr William Li to address my health defence systems and lower inflammation in my body. Most recently my oncologist says I’m stable so I’ve start seeing a naturopath with IV vitamin C, vitamin D shots. Next week will start German Mistletoe. Looking for more than stable. Keep researching because the more you know the better prepared you are. Best of luck.

It will work. Have a lot of faith and hope. I don’t know if you have a juicer, but juicing is very good carrots, ginger, celery, lemon that also detoxes the body too.

i take 80mg Tagrisso. I havent had many bad reactions yet. At first it made me tired, then pimples on my nose and chin. I really enjoyed a podcast I listened to a few months back with Dr Li. I then bought his book, "Eat to beat disease".
