So if they cannot afford to pay out of pocket for their own age care home and there is no "spare" govt funded bed...what happens, do old/disabled people and infirm people over 65 live on the streets?

My grandfather said he would rob a bank, then the state would give him 3 meals a day, put a roof over his head, cot to sleep on so not on the floor and give him some medical care, that might be a good solution.
