Electrical shocks throughout my body.
Hello. I’m not sure if anyone knows what I am talking about but I am hoping that someone does because I am beginning to feel crazy. Every day, I have an electrical sensation feeling throughout my entire body. The only way I can describe it to people is that it feels like I am being shocked by a light switch throughout my entire body. It is very painful, however only lasts from around 5-20 minutes, 1-5 times a day. It’s starting to scare me because my doctor looked at me like I was crazy, and my nurses chuckled when they heard my symptoms. I am going to a neurologist but they cannot fit me in for another month. It’s very painful for me and it has started to come with a red, splotchy rash from my neck down to my legs. If anyone has any idea what this could be and what I can do to surprise the pain, I would really appreciate the advice. And also if anyone else deals with this please tell me because I really am starting to think I am crazy. Thank you!

I take Gabapentin along with another seizure med also for headaches and nerve pain, but I added a nerve supplement Healthy Feet and Legs by Terry Naturally that I buy on amazon. It stopped my restless legs at night, burning and shocks after a week. I take it every other night when I’m doing ok, and every night when I start having pains again. Worth every penny. It has components the other nerve supplements don’t have and it’s cheaper. My neurologist said it’s good. It has ALA in it, but I also take R-ALA which is natural and absorbed easier.
I also take a multivitamin and Bromelain, which is supposed to clear out toxins from cells, and is from pineapple. I also make a “joy juice” periodically to clear out cells, as explained by Dr. Axe. It’s pineapple, cherry, orange, cranberry juices mixed with real ginger ale. I was making it long before I read it on his website, but was glad to hear him promote understanding of it.
I was told to up my b12 shots and folate. I have pernicious anemia / autoimmune gastritis. I’ll try it and let you know.
I am constantly getting these feelings. I’ve tried to explain them by saying it’s like when you touch your tongue to a 9volt battery to test it. My neurologist said she’d never heard of anything like that. But it does where you down and is very uncomfortable.
My husband had surgery on his lower back L3,4, and 5. I have wondered if that is where and when these electric shocks started. It is definitely a nerve problem as you can see the nerves in his arm move. He is on hospice to help with these problems. They are so painful.
I would like to go back to the surgeon to see what he would say that would help. Hospice did not want him to go because they would want to do surgery. He has gone downhill from walking with a cane to wheelchair in 3 years but he does have Parkinsons.
Any other ideas?
