Severe chronic back pain
Severe chronic back pain…I’ve suffered for years and have been told different things about my back pain, I was told taking weight off would help ive last 50 pounds and no relief if anything it’s getting worse. I’m having a hard time doing basic things without being in severe pain. I’ve done massage Acupuncture physical therapy serval times. Now I’m just frustrated about even going to the doctor cause nothing changes. It hurts to even walk and my big toes on both feet are numb. What should I do I’m losing hope and I don’t know how much more pain I can handle. Please help

Sorry mines is NHS so I don't pick a surgeon
I amso sorry to hear what you have been going through. I hope that this surgery will give you increased mobility and a sense of peace.
Stop telling people to get a stimulator! I've heard so many more people complain about how much worse it made their back and that they would get electric shocks out of nowhere because of the way they moved. I've also heard a lot of people say that once they got it and planted it was hard for them to find a doctor that would take it out
I'm in the same boat. I hurt so bad I can't even sit and play video games with my 12-year-old and I'm 47 but I'm being told that I'm too old for back pain especially like this. I'm so pissed off at the whole situation and being treated like a drug addict. If I'm going to be treated like a drug addict I wish the meds would at least make me feel like one! I don't get high I don't get a buzz I don't get extra happy I just hurt a teeny tiny little bit less! Not even a lot less! Just a little bit less. And even with the meds even if I take two instead of one I still hurt so bad I'm bedridden!
I had a spinal cord stimulator placed in 2016. Didn’t help my pain at all. In 2017 I had it removed by the same doctor who placed it.
I have severe spinal degeneration and scoliosis and recently diagnosed with osteomyelitis for which I’m being treated for. The pain is actually improving thankfully.
I had a SCS and am now in terrible pain and have nerve damage. Im couch bound predominantly and struggle to eat. I had bad complications. PLS consider carefully before accepting these devices. My friend did well, so I eventually relented...its ruined my life.
Spinal fusion and decompression
