I have been using Ambien close to ten years. It’s worked very well for me. I use a 10mg dose. It’s inexpensive and easy to get renewed. I’ll be reviewing Ambien CR, which is a slow release version that maybe more effective.

@jwschmidt22 I took 5 mg Ambien for over 15 years and then the summer it stopped working. It’s been a three month break while I’m taking lorazepam, but I’m going to talk to my doctor about trying it again.
When I first started taking it, I could take a quarter tablet and it worked fine; then it became a half, And an additional nibble if I was wakeful in the middle of the night.
