Mayo Parking Ramp Closure on July 26th - Rochester MN
Mayo's Rochester Damon Parking Ramp will permanently close for demolition on July 26th. The Damon parking ramp is across the street from Gonda entrance on 3rd Ave SW. Patient parking will transition to the West Parking Ramp located at 515 West Center St. Patient can start using the West Ramp starting July 26th.
The following webpage shows suggested route to arrive at West ramp along with suggestion on where to park based on building your first appointment is: https://www.mayoclinic.org/rochester-construction/downtown-patient-arrival-departure-routing
The West Parking Ramp is still connected to Mayo buildings via subway, but it is few blocks farther away from the Gonda building. There will be Mayo employees present to assist with wheelchairs if needed. But with all the street construction and parking changes, you should plan according to arrive at your appointments on time.
The Graham parking ramp will remain open and valet parking will still be available for a charge. In addition, many visitors find they can avoid driving downtown altogether by taking advantage of free hotel shuttles.
To keep up to date with all the construction changes, visit Mayo Rochester construction updates web site: https://www.mayoclinic.org/rochester-construction
I am not a Mayo employee, just a patient and volunteer mentor, but want to make you aware of the changes coming. As a patient who visits the downtown campus often, I face the same frustration with parking as many of you do. All I can do is be patient and plan ahead.

2 ReactionsWhich street does the west ramp exit onto?
@bajjerfan
Exit onto 1st Street NW (to the left) and the next intersection is 6th Ave NW. You can go left or right at that intersection, I suggest you take a right and that will take you to Civic Center Drive and out of construction area. I am use the 2nd map on this page as reference. I have not used the West Ramp yet.

Check your appointment guide for additional information for arrival and parking.

2 ReactionsI have no idea where you find the valet parking?
Its at the drive up Gonda entrance. When you enter there will be a guy directing traffic. Tell him you want valet. He'll direct you to the right spot.
Is that where you do the drive around to drop people off or to pick them up?

Yes same location. As previous member mentioned, when approach, people will will direct you. Some lanes for drop off others for valet.
The map on construction site show route to approach Gonda.

It can become backed up during peak times, so plan according to allow time for drop off or valet prior to appointment time.
