Can anyone share their experience with Pluvicto?
My 85 year old dad has prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bones. Zytiga is no longer effective. He is considering Pluvicto. I would appreciate input from those who have used Pluvicto.

Is there anyone at ages 80 plus that can share their experience with Pluvicto? How have their kidneys fared during the process and the extension of life worthwhile ?? thanks for any input and help as I am considering pluvicto. PSA is 111 and I have hormone resistant metastatic PC. Thank you
Be aware that it works really well for 33% of people OK for 33% of people and not at all for 33% of people. If you have certain genetic issues, either hereditary or somatic, it can affect how well Pluvicto Works. You can ask for a somatic test before doing Pluvicto To find out if you’ve got Genetic changes Due to the cancer.
If you have BRCA2 or ATM It seems to work better. If you have RB1, PTEN or TP53 They are Pluvicto resistant.
Asking someone else if Pluvicto worked for them gives you no idea about how it could work for you.
Some people have some major side effects from Pluvicto, most don’t. I have heard at least 5 people talk about their experience, In some cases they had to have more time between doses because of the side effects.
I saw a webinar where they discussed a person who lit up the Pet scan With metastasis from head to Legs. He had one Pluvicto Treatment and it almost cleared his pet scan, But his side effects were so bad that he could not take any more treatments
77 and going strong. I've not felt this good in over 23 years. You have nothing to loose. Good Luck...Gene
Im happy to hear about your treatments. I would like to know how you got the insurance and supplies to cover the 2nd treatment. I finished my Pluvicto about 11 months ago. The hardest for me was the 3 days in quarantine, and the tiredness- which I was informed to take 10 MG of prednisone for tiredness.
We all must continue to battle this monster in us
If you read the post/reply above, you will find the explanation that his first Pluvicto series was as a participant in a clinical trial. So for insurance purposes, his current s is his first.
I am 86 and I will receive my 6th infusion 9/7/2025.
I have had very few side effects from Pluvicto. My PSA started out at 80 and now it is 2.6. Over the years I have had seed implants, hormone therapy, and Chemo, all with very little success.
I exercise every day and play golf twice a week.
I hope that you will respond to Pluvicto.

If I might ask, did you have any kidney disease when you began treatment?
Have you heard of any that have had third stage kidney disease when starting treatment and will this take out your kidney's? How long did the side effects last? We are contemplating immunotherapy since Dad has a hard time with the thought of quarantine for three days and unsure he would be able to handle it.
No kidney problems. I just have the right genes for
the Pluvicto to really work well.
Men receiving Pluvicto infusions do not have to quarantine for three days. They just need to keep their distance but don't have to isolate themselves.
