Has anyone had experience with Osteostrong?
I have osteoporosis in my arms and want to explore options to medication. A friend told me about a company with a franchisee not far from my home that claims to help strengthen bones through a special exercise program. Has anyone heard of Osteostrong or tried it?

And then there is this - from their own franchisees...

1 ReactionAgree with you completely. Weight lifting, strength training might require more efforts/work but provide reliable, proven results for OP. OsteoStrong targets our tendency to go for something EASY.

2 ReactionsI joined and went pretty faithfully for over a year when had to discontinue Prolia due to job on necrosis. Upon having my next DEXA, which showed that my bone mass had decreased what happens when you stop these medications, I stopped the program because it obviously was not helping. Eventually started Tymlos but have not yet had a follow up DEXA, also started doing more body weight exercises/strength training.

4 ReactionsYes, my heart sort of sank when they touted “biocharger, red light therapy” and other gimmicks on my first visit. I think those are considered pseudoscience and they lost credibility with me.

2 ReactionsI attended osteostrong for about 2 months. However, because I have several spine issues, I decided that it might be too risky for me without a medical professional available to monitor it's effect on my spine
I’m well aware of this as a medical professional, and if you read my entire response it mentions eventually using Tymlos which can be rather hard to get approved due to cost factors, etc. I’m allergic to bisphosphonates which is why I was using Prolia in the first place so cannot ever use that category of meds which leaves me in a bind. I’ve completed a year of Tymlos and waiting to get my DEXA scan later this month so hopefully it looks better than the last time as Tymlos currently has a 2 year use regulations which means 2 years forever..
My reply was in the wrong thread. Good luck to you.

3 ReactionsI’m NOT a fan either. IMHO it’s a scam. Thank you for posting Dr Lani Simpson’s video. She’s a very knowledgeable and cool lady.
