Looking for a decent portable nebulizer

So many of these look the same with a different name and fizz out in short order. I’m taking a long trip soon and need one for those times you are not in your room. Suggestions?

I purchased the travel devilbliss. It worked great, quieter than the regular compressor and all the equipment for a week fit in the bag . I am so excited about traveling!

Insurance paid for my Pari Lamira nebulizer kit when I was on Arikayce. It came with an ebase controller, a blue disc shaped controller that doesn't require a hose-just a "handset",i.e. nebulizing cup with an aerosol head. I think this is the same thing that you all are talking about. When I googled eRapid, 2 totally different pictures came up-one being the blue disc shaped controller and the other a larger rectangular gray controller. I was planning on using for my 7% saline when I travel but need a new handset and aerosol head. I just figured it worked for the Arikayce, it should work for the 7% NaCl solution. Am I on the right track?

Yes!

You might want to call Pari to be sure. They told me the 7% was fine to use with the eRapid.

Hi All

In 2023, I was given a Phillips Respironics by my Pulmonologist and got it by accident. I purchased a second one asap and it has been going strong. Since this old Phillips no longer being sold, do you have a recommendation for one that could be as good. Does medicare cover these machines?

Thanks in advance for any tips.

How does the DeVilbiss compare to regular sized compressors for strength? I bought a Pari Trek a couple of years ago and found it weak compared to my regular Pari and Ombra compressors. I’m looking for a stronger compressor so I’m wondering how the DeVilbiss compares.
Thanks in advance,

I felt it was just as strong. I am very satisfied with the battery life!

I found the DeVilBiss great in the beginning. Faithfully changed the filters every 4-5 months. After about 2 years it begins to slow down - not as forceful and slower, even when I use the wall plug.
Until I got the Pari eRapid 2 weeks ago, I thought I would never find anything like the Phillips Respironics again. But OOF, the price - and Medicare and my insurance don't cover it. However, my health insurance rebates $800 of my Medicare Premium each year, and I hadn't spent it yet. Now hoping for no dental work needed the rest of the year!

I have purchased at least a dozen nebulixers over the past years and including a Pari Trek and several mesh-type made in China. I now have 2 Sunset mesh nebulizers that I alternate. They are silent, compact and only slightly more expensive than the basic Chinese nebulizers with funny names. Those usually only work a short time before dying. Many cannot handle 7% saline. I love the reliable Sunset portable nebulizer. available from many medical supply houses. Here's one. https://hartmedical.org/product/sunset-portable-mesh-nebulizer.
