Can you find a psychiatrist and a therapist who can help you? Sounds perfectly reasonable when you have had the major upheavals in your life that you can have panic attacks and anxiety. Retirement alone is a major life adjustment then losing your home on top of that. I hope you can find some help in your community. I just started therapy 2 weeks ago at 68 years old. I feel there is hope now just knowing they are there. Best wishes.

4 ReactionsHi,
I'm so sorry that you are going through such an awful time! Just losing your home is bad enough but being so ill too is terrible. For referrals for housing and possibly health care try calling the Salvation Army or an organization like that if you don't have a Salvation Army in your area. Also you might reach out to a church for help. I was taking care of my mom who had pulmonary emphysema. When my mom died, her Social Security check stopped. We lived together and all of a sudden I didn't have the rent money! A homeless person who I was talking to on the street explaining why I couldn't give him any money told me about a church that would help me. I went to that church and they helped me a lot! I'm sure a church or the Salvation Army would both help you.
God will help you also. Just talk to him like he's your best friend, and he is! Ask him to help you with all of your problems. Even if you don't know God, he knows who you are because he made you and he can fix you! Plus God always welcomes you. He loves to hear from you! I will say a prayer for you also.
I wish you the best!

1 ReactionWe had to sell our home after living there for 15 years when I was forced to retire and go on SSDI. I'm still very angry about this, and always will be, even though it's been 10 years now. Whatever chance we had of having an average retirement is dead and gone, we'll never own a home again, and we're screwed financially because of what I let happen to me. It's no wonder that I'm clinically depressed and taking 2 meds for it, along with a half dozen other drugs.

What a vacant house existed the needed someone to love it!
The owner had this idea to find a person whose luck is on a hiatus.
Who a possible opportunity like that stipulate yourself to channel that rage/anger energy into “ building “ your life back.
