Interesting that these companies use a variety of auto injectors and it certainly makes a difference when you to have to self administer. Thanks so much for the information. I really appreciate it!
I was on Forteo for 2 years and finished up Sept 30 of 2023.
Hi Julie,
I have not been tested for enzyme production but will ask at my next annual exam. Thanks for the information. Do you need enzymes due to the surgery or just how your body absorbs calcium?
Forteo worked well for me. I don't have the info in front of me but my Endo was happy with the results.
Leave it in a little longer. Also, push the plunger a little slower
I do leave it in for a long time, but I push it in fast. I'll try to slow down. Thanks
I use a Tymlos pen. After I push it in and press the button, I count to ten, then remove.

1 ReactionI've tried everything. Longer needle, leave it in longer, push it in slower, twist it before pulling out, during pulling out. Still, and always that tiny glistening drop. Now that I'm complaining there is always a mm left in the pen when the plunger won't draw anymore. I've tried smashing the mechanism that blocks the advance. Pens are almost indestructible. No luck, yet. Ikel?

1 ReactionI always have a little drop on the needle. No big deal. And there's always some left in the pen after 28 days. I just figured that was normal. Trying not to stress over it.
A little drop on the needle is normal. And, the pen holds a few days' extra medicine, so there will be some left over.
