Something has helped clear my mind of fog
I've been suffering what we refer to as "brain fog for over a year. I had improvement with a short course of steroids 6 months ago but it was short lived. Someone recently gifted me NAC supplement with information+ I've been taking 600 mgs 2-3 times a day. This formulation is compounded with molybdenum +selenium. I noticed an improvement very quickly. I have clearer thinking, better short memory, improved executive functioning and higher tolerance for less than ideal sleep. I can concentrate very well now. And my overall mental processing is faster. I'm more verbal now. It's been a change that had endured for several weeks. I'm had no other changes in anything. Just this.
My experience is subjective and there's no way I can claim this supplement is the catalyst for improvement. It could have been an improvement just bc of time. My results don't *prove*- but since there are no side effects or contraindications that I know of, I'm continuing to take this, along with several other supplements.
I just wanted to pass this along. It's inexpensive and if people are just experimenting, this may be something to 'try.'

After hypercalcemia being somewhat ignored for YEARS even after osteoporosis diagnosis I was finally referred to an endo and then had the nuclear medicine and contrast CAT scans which showed a bonus 5th paraythyroid gland in my chest that has a nodule. Seeing endocrine surgeon tomorrow.
Suddenly fast tracked after years.
I did try last year but I couldn’t tolerate! Seems some supplements give me a wild headache! Shame, I was hopeful!
I used nac past 3 months and then all my joints started to hurt- checked google it causes Osteoarthritis if it is used too much... Now I am from 600 mg dqily down to 150 mg, less joint pain but thank Almighty Lord it stops the brain fog instantly... I suspect leaky gut and food intolerances like coffee are the main causes of my brain fog and the screwed up capacaity of liver clearance... So try to uses 1/4 of your normal dose and I atake it direct into my mouth without water like sublingual- very fast effect.
very possibly the molybdenum. i had severe memory deficits after a terrible infectious disease with biofilms -- treated myself with the bioactive b12's i need according to my specific genetic mutations, recovered to about 75 percent, but still had the big gray screen in front of what used to be a versatile and highly active mind. it was destroying my days. took molybdenum for the first time, and within 45 minutes that gray screen was gone! and oddly, the constant ache in my arms, from wrist to elbow, vanished, too. then i began to take the molybdenum every evening, and an hour later used activated charcoal -- a whole tablespoon, mixed with water. i hope your recovery is still going well!
My results have been somewhat similar.I've been going through long covid now for 5 years. It's 'almost' gone.I believe my damage to my system occured. Not sure what exactly..but it's been really intrusive to my daily life.I was terribly sick for two years at least.Weight loss,no appetite.Stomach pain(severe). But the stomach thing seems to be 'not there' anymore.Maybe a twinge once in a while.Taking NAC 1200mg capsules...3 at a time each day.Been doing this for two years now.Getting better but like YOU say, can't actually tell if it's the supplements or just healing.Could be both.Feeling WAY better today than I have been in months.Adding B5 to it when it gets here.I suspect i may have histamine issues.Causing inflamation. It's getting better though.hang in there.God Bless you in your road to full healing.

1 ReactionI apparently got a long covid that really messed up my basic body systems.Really badly.I Follow Dr Paul Anderson on youtube..he's awesome and VERY legit.Have several vitamins I take daily.BUT since I really don't know how much I should be taking,I'm taking larger doses now to see how that works. So far(about a month now) I'm feeling so much better following his advice.Almost to the point where this feels like I may be healing very good now.Getting my old self back, that I can actually FEEL.Not all gone, but MUCH better now.I think for me these tageted vitamins are working.I no longer have this severe pain in my gut.I can eat now.I feel confident this regimen is working.Hang in there..God Bless always...(and i barely drink coffee anymore)..think this helped too.5 years now...long covid. Also started taking probiotics for my gut.I got really damaged from this covid deal.

1 ReactionHow much molybdenum do you take each day?
Rock, Did you mean you tried the NAC? Just so ya know- since it is a precursor for glutathione, it will do some detoxing. And your symptoms may have something to do with the detoxing.
Personally, I am taking glutathione and starting with only the small amount I can get on the head of a flat toothpick. Now I am on the amount I can get on two toothpicks. I am very sensitive to different supplements also.
that first time i took it and had that 'miracle' experience i had taken a single 500 mcg capsule. after that, i took 500 mcg three times a day for several years. now i take 500 mcg twice a day, morning and evening. i have the MTHFR gene, and it helps enormously. an hour after 500 mcg molybdenum in the evening, i take one tablespoon of activated charcoal at least 3 days a week.
Unfortunately, when I tried NAC it made my RLS so much worse.
